I believe that compassion is any kind act that pushes our humanity closer to utopia, or a place where all negativity becomes nonexistent. Whether or not it comes out to be as big as offering money or giving up time, even the smallest deed like a simple compliment can thrust us towards this objective. For my community service project I chose to help out in the Special Olympics and work with people with special disabilities, helping them improve their bowling game. I loved this project and enjoyed my experience there. Volunteering and helping out those who need it is a love of mine and the four hours I spent there was very worthwhile. I enjoyed the interaction I had and the excitement that we shared. My specific service was merely to place bowling balls on top of ramps for the bowlers to push, but I had a lot of fun watching cheering along with them as they played their game. I also learned a bit about them.
