We read the book, "14 Cows for America" by Carmen Agra Deedy. It takes place in Africa and it's about a village who set aside their most prized possesion for America after the September 11 attacks. Then we studied African Adinkra symbols to put on our panels. I chose the symbol for harmony. It reminds me of compassion because we need to be kind and be friends and put our differences aside and be friends. "Peace and love, not push and shove!!"
