We read the book, "14 Cows for America" by Carmen Agra Deedy. It takes place in Africa and it's about a village who set aside their most prized possesion for America after the September 11 attacks. Then we studied African Adinkra symbols to put on our panels. I chose the symbol for strength. It reminds me of compassion because I have to be strong to have compassion.
