The hand heart shape represents the compassion a person feels for the boy and the girl who represent all the people in the world. I used paj ntawb, a traditional Hmong art form to make the piece. On the border of the picture I sewed the snail design which is used in Hmong stitchery. This piece is a mix of Laotian American ideas, which helps to show that compassion should be for everyone world wide.
